Hi, my name is Missy Keyser, your personal chef and professional caterer, Chef Missy! Long before I was known as Chef Missy, I proudly held the name The Soup Lady.

One winter, over two decades ago, I worked a churched holiday bizarre in Washington D.C. During this event, a little boy kept coming back over and over for another sample of soup. Eventually, he pulled his mother over for a taste, happily saying, “Mom, mom, this is the Soup Lady!” insisting, “You have to buy her soup!”
I knew at that moment I wanted to pursue a career as a professional caterer.
I’m still known as the Soup Lady to all my close friends and family, but I’ve expanded my horizon far beyond warm bowls of comfort. I was classically trained at Creative Cuisine in Cambridge, MA., and I’ve spent the last 25 years catering intimate and elegant events all over the East Coast from Nantucket & New York City to Washington, D.C. & Philadelphia. With these skills and a dedication to my clients, I’ve done everything from working as a private chef on a family yacht to catering events for New York power brokers and White House elites.
